Vessels in sight of one another

  • Rule(s) to be applied: Rule 3 (General definitions)
  • Applying the Rule(s) and comments: In accordance with Rule 3 (k) (General definitions) vessels shall be deemed to be in sight of one another only when one can be observed visually from the other.
    Comments:
    The term observed visually means that the other vessel is observed by naked eye or binoculars.
